Geoffrey Little, Vice-Provost and Chief Librarian

Geoffrey Robert Little, Vice-Provost and Chief LibrarianGeoffrey Robert Little began a five-year term as Western University’s Vice-Provost and Chief Librarian on July 22, 2024. Previously he was Associate University Librarian for Scholarly Communication at Concordia University and Founding Director of Concordia University Press. He began his career in academic libraries at Yale University.

Geoffrey has published and presented widely and his work has been supported by grants or fellowships from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, the Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in the Fine Arts, and the Bibliographical Society of Canada. In 2022-23 he was the Patricia Fleming Fellow in Bibliography and Book History at the University of Toronto and a Visiting Scholar at Massey College. He is currently the chair of the Amherst College Press advisory board. Geoffrey has an honours BA in History and an MISt from the University of Toronto and an MA in History from Concordia.
