Prof. K.C.A. Dawson
Donated by Debra Dawson in memory of Prof. K.C.A. Dawson. Kenneth C. A. Dawson served in Europe from 1944-1945 and was posted to the 2nd Tactical Airforce, 83rd Group, 143 Wing, 439 Squadron. He was awarded the France Germany Star, the 1939-45 Star, the Defense of Great Britain medal, the Canada Volunteer Medal and Bar and the Victory Medal. In the mid-fifties he re-enlisted in the intelligence unit of the air force reserve, later transferring to the army reserve as part of the Lake Superior Scottish Regiment and retired as a Major in 1965. He was the founding chair of the Department of Anthropology at Lakehead University.
