Western Libraries acquires materials in accessible formats where possible, by working with vendors and publishers on institutional and consortial levels to advocate for inclusive learning resources.
We regularly test and troubleshoot our digital platforms and content to assess their accessibility and provide feedback to vendors to ask them to fix known issues.
In addition to these efforts, we offer:
- Accessible format support for all materials found through Western Libraries as well as collections available through the Omni catalogue.
- On-demand conversion of digital or print library holdings for Western students, faculty, and staff.
- Standard searchable and screen-readable PDFs for all digitization requests via the Omni catalogue.
